  • Crime
  • Employment
  • Regulatory
  • Road Traffic Offences
  • Professional Negligence

  • Property and Planning

Barristers must have undertaken specific training to accept Direct Access cases. A full list of our Direct Access trained barristers can be found here.

For full guidance on how the scheme operates, please refer to the Bar Standards Board guidance.

We are committed to providing a transparent pricing structure for all Direct Access work.

The final cost of your case will depend on several key factors:

  • Volume of documents to be reviewed.
  • Types of tasks required (e.g., drafting papers, providing advice, attendance at Court).
  • Length of the hearing(s).
  • Location and complexity of the case.
  • Seniority of the instructed barrister.
  • Any necessary additional research.
  • Fixed Fee: A set price may be quoted for a specific piece of work, such as a court hearing.
  • Hourly Rate: We may quote an hourly rate for the time spent, along with an estimate of the likely total fee.

Payment: Once the fees are agreed upon, payment is required in advance before any work is undertaken.

Important: If it becomes apparent during your case that the required work has changed (more or less than initially anticipated), and the fee is likely to be affected, this will be discussed with you immediately.
